Confusion and oblivion reign supreme as several organisations have come out strongly opposing three new amendments and/or new regulations stemming from the covid pandemic. The government plans to retire the Disaster Management Act as the tool with which to enforce lockdowns and other restrictions, and replace this with new regulations under the National Health Act. Furthermore, the COGTA minister has proposed extending elements of State of Disaster for 30 days AFTER the State of Disaster has been lifted.
